Pies were forgotten by Fetcher Mark and the Bridge provided pie and peas. Delicious they were too.

We are now going to have the Pie competition on Saturday 16th April.

John   Substantial pie, overcooked and burnt. Sticky pastry. Compact well filled meat. Still room for jelly. Last few bites had a lot of pepper. Good pie.

Mark   Dull looking pie, heavy, dense, juicy flavoursome meat. Good afterburn. Every gap filled with jelly.

Peter   Crispy pastry.  Well filled, tasty pie.

Phil   Dull looking, thick pastry, well seasoned. Nice jelly.

Score   8.0/10

Kevin   Quite liked it. Juicy, compact meat. Soggy pastry.

John   Well filled. Caramelised crusty pasty but  lardy. Meat a bit peppery.

Tim   Half empty pie. Salt and lard and slightly off pork.

Mark   Flattered to deceive. Looked nice and crispy.  Bags of pepper in it. Enjoyed the pie.

Kevin   Fresh, crunchy pastry.  Bland jelly.  Tasteless meat.

Peter   Crunchy , tasty pastry but strange taste.

Bruce   Crispy and crunchy pastry, lots of fresh air before you got to the meat. Tasted of butter. Meat was coarse and lacked flavour.
