Therefore difficult to get a good consensus of opinion on the pies which had been in the fridge all afternoon and lacked taste. The Fetcher Kevin had to leave them at the Pub in the morning. Pies Peter Soggy pastry but quite tasty meat. Big gaps between the pastry and meat. Score 6.0/10 Kevin Pastry was thin and floury bland taste, little jelly, coarse lean meat. OK pie.Would be good with pickles and salad. Score 6.5/10 Bruce Interesting looking pie. Soft pastry, bakers style with a sweet aftertaste. Little jelly but tasty. Coarse compact tasty meat. Gaps in the pie. Lacks spice. Liked it. Score 8.0/10 Tim Dry pastry, little flavour, no jelly but well filled. Average. Score 5.0/10 Mark Soft dry pastry, loads of tasty jelly. Meat was nice texture but needed more seasoning. Yesterday’s pie I think. Score 6.0/10 Luke Anaemic pastry that had sagged in the middle. Few voids that needed more meat. Seasoning also lacking. Pies Peter Big, pale pie, pastry could have been crispier, well filled, cold, mild porky flavour, more spice needed. Score 7.5/10 Mark Hefty pastry, golden pastry, looked soft and sticky but was not. Rammed full of meat. Needed more pepper. Score 8.0/10 Oli Bold looking pie, colour of straw. Jam packed with meat. Soft pastry, Lots of seasoning. Score 7.5/10 Tim Looked reasonable, Soggy pastry stuck to my denture. Sweet pastry, lacked spice. Score 6.0/10 Fred One of the nicest pies I have had for a while. Score 9.0/10 Bruce A squat stocky pie, well glazed golden pastry, sweet soft thick pastry, coarse well compacted tasty meat. Nice jelly but needed more spice. Crunchy pastry, tasty jelly, well compacted coarse meat. Bags of afterburn. Ultra fresh. A belter of a pie. Made the way pies should be.
