Pies

Howard   Pastry crusty and in parts soggy. Quite tasty. Coarse meat. Strong pork taste,salty. Lacked spice and did not get any afterburn.

Score   6.0/10

Mark   Crispy pastry at top but soggy at the bottom. Gravy on top of pie was caramelised, lovely taste. Not much spice but did not need it.

Score   8.0/10

Peter   Looked good. Soggy where the jelly was on top of the pastry. Lacked spice, very salty.

Pies

Mark   Very fresh pie. Crispy, tasty pastry, very thin, nice amount of jelly, very compact meat, overall not a bad pie.

Score   7.5/10

Bruce   Good looking pie, well glazed & nice castleations. Fresh, crispy crunchy pastry, tasty jelly, nice compact coarse meat. No afterburn, needed more spices. Otherwise a great pie.

Kevin   Attractive, fresh, crunchy pastry, sweet jelly, well filled, no spice (didn't need it). Succulent pork, a great pie.

Score   9.0/10

Tim   Good looking pie, well presented. Coarse meat, a bit salty and short of seasoning. Pastry more like a bakers than a butchers. A decent pie. 8

Score   8.0/10

Howard   Cracking looking pie, well glazed, well baked. Nice crispy pastry, well filled with good coarse meat, plenty of jelly. As usual lacks a little spice (but didn't need it). 9

Peter   Large pie with thick quite crispy pastry. Not much jelly. well filled. Lacked seasoning.

Score   6.0/10

Howard   Standard size pie.Crispy pastry on top half. Soft base. Well filled with coarse tasty meat. Plenty of jelly.

Score   7.5/10

Mark   Lovely crispy pastry. Thick on top. Coarse tasty meat and needed more spice.  Not much jelly. Enjoyed it.
