Pies

Mark   Lovely looking pie. Craftsman hand raised pie  Thick pastry but very tasty, coarse granular meat, full of flavour, lots of spice, good afterburn but no jelly.

Score   8.0/10

Howard   A rustic pie, fresh pastry but just too thick, especially the bottom. Coarse meat, plenty of flavour but too much salt. No jelly and no spice.  Overall the pasty let it down.

Score   6.0/10

Richard   Hand raised, small & pastry to meat ratio meant too much pastry. Lovely meat, fresh, granular, nice peppery spices.

Score   7.0/10

Kevin   Old fashioned appearance, thick nutty crispy pastry, solid tasty jelly, granular spicy meat with lots of afterburn.  Fresh, really enjoyed it.

Score   9.0/10

Bruce   Hand raised good looking pie but a bit on the small size. Crispy, crunchy pastry but a little dry. The meat was very compact, very tasty and nice spices and lots of afterburn. Fresh and I like it.

Score   8.0/10

Fred   Good looking pie. Filling tightly packed and looks difficult to accommodate the much of the tasty jelly with a coarse and even tastier meat. Pastry seems a bit dry. It is almost an excellent pie.  Slight adjustments could turn it into a prize winner (Fetchers Opinion).

Score   9.0/10
